About Streeterville
Streeterville is a neighborhood located north of the Chicago River, and bounded by Lake Michigan on the east and Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile on the west. The neighborhood has a large amount of restaurants, hotels, and art galleries and boasts a tremendous amount of historic significance (Water Tower Place, Navy Pier, the Drake Hotel and more). The area is vibrant and full of energy. Here you will arguably find the best shopping in Chicago.
While many Northwestern graduate school students and Schoolemployees live in the neighborhood due to the proximity to the university’s downtown campus and Schoolsystem, many other students also chose to live in the neighborhood due to the high rises and proximity to the lake and nightlife (in both Streeterville and just west in River North). The area is a short walk from the Redline “EL” (Chicago’s subway) and numerous bus lines transport through the area as well.
