About Lakeview
Named for its close proximity to Lake Michigan, Lakeview is one of Chicago's larger neighborhoods, now comprised of smaller neighborhoods within its boundaries. They include Wrigleyville, Roscoe Village and Lakeview East. West Lakeview officially begins at Clark Street. Dozens of buildings are being renovated and new single-family homes are under construction. Rents in West Lakeview are somewhat more affordable than those in Lakeview east. One and a half miles of lake and park on the eastern border offer recreational facilities of boating, jogging, skating, swimming and biking. And of course the Chicago Cubs can be seen all through baseball season at the famous Wrigley Field! The Chicago loop is readily accessible from Lakeview by car, bus, train or the Red Line El.
